
GT 1000 & 2000 Ambassadors
GT 1000/2000 Ambassadors make a lasting contribution to both the GT 1000/2000 Program and the Georgia Tech community. Ambassadors serve as representatives of the GT 1000/2000 program and work with faculty, staff, and fellow peer leaders to promote its growth and development towards the mission of facilitating first-year and transfer students’ transition to Georgia Tech.
Ambassador Qualifications
To apply to be a GT 1000/2000 Ambassador, students must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of one semester serving as GT 1000 or 2000 Team Leader
- Minimum 2.5 overall GPA
- Good Standing with Instructor Performance Evaluation
- Strong time management skills
- Strong organization skills
- Strong oral communication skills
- Enthusiastic demeanor and dedication to the mission of GT 1000 & GT 2000 Program
Ambassador Duties
- Must be able to serve a minimum of two consecutive semesters (Fall-Spring)
- Serve as mentors and advisors for a designated group of current GT 1000/2000 TLs
- Serve as a GT 1000 or 2000 Team Leader if time permits
- Attend general ambassador meetings
- Develop programs and workshops to support GT 1000/2000 Team Leaders
- Aid in the continuous development of all GT 1000/2000 Team Leaders
- Attend, participate in, and assist in coordination of:
- GT 1000/2000 Awards Banquet
- Team Leader Recruitment Events
- Team Leader Application Review
- Team Leader Interviews
- Team Leader Welcome Event
- Team Leader Training & Orientation
